2H30 EDINBURGH LEITH FOOD AND BEER TOUR

Description:

Do you want to discover a vibrant area away from the crowds of tourists? Are you a craft beer lover? Welcome to a unique and immersive experience in the heart of Edinburgh - a guided tour of the vibrant Leith neighbourhood followed by a visit to the renowned Moonwake Beer Co where you’ll be able to try 3 precision brewed beers paired with local cheese and meats.

Tour Highlights:

  •   Explore Leith - Our journey begins in the historic Leith, where you'll be greeted by your knowledgeable guide for a 45mn walking tour. Off the beaten path, Leith is a treasure trove of history, culture, and modern charm. Explore the alleyways of this dynamic neighbourhood that has thrived alongside Edinburgh since the Middle Ages, as your guide shares fascinating stories of the area's maritime past, and its transformation into a trendy, artistic hub, thriving thanks to the spirits industry. During your tour, try some local snacks to whet your appetite!

  • Moonwake Brewery Tour - After soaking in the local atmosphere, we'll head to the Moonwake Beer Co for an insider's look into the craft beer scene. Forget about gigantic operations, Moonwake is all about carefully crafted local and innovative brews – ever heard of an Edinburgh stout for example? Meet the passionate team behind the magic as they guide you through the brewing process, from raw ingredients to the final product. Witness the state-of-the-art brewing equipment of this independent brewery and learn about the art of beer-making!

  • Tasting Flight with Local Pairings - The highlight of your experience awaits as you settle into the Moonwake’s cozy tasting room. Indulge in a carefully curated flight of three distinct 1/3 pours, each showcasing the brewery's range of flavours and styles. Let the aromas and tastes titillate your senses as you taste the craftsmanship that goes into each brew.

To elevate the experience, each beer will be expertly paired with local cheeses and cured meats. This tasting session is an opportunity to explore the intricate nuances of beer and discover how it harmonizes with the rich textures and tastes of carefully selected local delicacies.
