During this private tour, you will follow the author's footsteps through the winding streets of Edinburgh. You will discover the city in the 19th century and learn more about the medicine and justice of the time, and the crimes and murderers that fed the imagination of the young doctor's apprentice to create one of the greatest detectives of all time.

Full Day Sherlock Holmes and Investigation in Edinburgh

Multiple people have gone missing near St Margaret Loch, close to Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh. As the population accuses a strange monster, some whisper that it may be tied to something a lot more sinister. Who took the villagers, and is there any way to save them?

To solve this mystery, you will start your day training yourselves by retracing the steps of Arthur Conan Doyle with our tour guide, and discover the places which inspired the author when he created the famous Sherlock Holmes. After the private tour, warm yourself in a Victorian pub in the city centre and enjoy a delicious Scottish meal. Then, head to an underground prison for an immersive story and mini escape game. A costumed actor will welcome you and narrate the case of the St Margaret Loch. As detectives, your choices will impact directly how the story unfolds. Will you talk to witnesses to find clues about what is going on? Decide to complete puzzles to try to crack strange riddles left across Edinburgh? Or something elementary?

Full Day Sherlock Holmes Murder and Medicine in Edinburgh

You have received a letter from Arthur Conan Doyle himself!
He asks you to gather information to help him to write his next – and last – Sherlock Holmes novel. For this, he has sent you to meet his former professor from Edinburgh Medical School, who will be able to help you.
​You will start your day by retracing the steps of Arthur Conan Doyle with our tour guide and discovering the places which inspired the author when he created his famous Sherlock Holmes stories. After the private tour, warm yourself in a Victorian pub in the city centre and enjoy a delicious Scottish meal.
Participate in a themed escape game, before heading for a self-guided tour of Surgeons' Hall, the medical museum of the capital where skeletons and apprentices meet in the name of science. In Surgeons' Hall, don't miss the Sherlock Holmes exhibit where you will learn how the medical innovations of the 19th century influenced Sherlock's deductive process!
Then finish your day in the underbelly of Edinburgh, the historic vaults of the city, to learn more about the crimes which shook the city.

Sherlock Holmes' lighthouse case

The Flannan Isle Lighthouse was manned by 3 men. In December 1900, a shift in staff was overdue, as a tempest was blocking all the boats in the harbour. However, when the Hesperus boat reached the lighthouse, all 3 men had disappeared...

Conan Doyle is fascinated by the mystery and you have been tasked to investigate it, but strange things keep happening.
​Grab your your magnifying glass and become a detective during a 2h immersive story and mini escape game in an underground prison at the heart of Edinburgh. A costumed actor will welcome you and narrate the case. As detectives, your choices will impact directly how the story unfolds. Will you talk to local fisherman to try to better understand the men who disappeared? Decode the Morse code messages left in the lighthouse? Find clues and witnesses to solve the case!
